Solar Logix adds Sault Ste. Marie location and hires local as general manager

November 14 (Thunder Bay): Solar Logix, one of Ontario’s largest solar installation companies, with head office in Thunder Bay, has opened their offices at 123 March Street, Suite 400 in Sault Ste Marie. Gerry Bugyra has been hired as General Manager. In this capacity, Bugyra will be responsible for the complete internal and external operations of this office. Bugyra has over 12 years of experience in the Renewable Energy Sector and over 28 years in business management. To date, Solar Logix has created 12 jobs within the city, with plans to hire more people and expand rapidly into the local market. Everything to set up the office was purchased locally, including all office furniture, computers, materials and signage. Heliene, a local manufacturer of solar modules, is the sole supplier of modules for all six (6) Solar Logix locations throughout Ontario. Locations include Thunder Bay, Oakville, Hamilton, Ottawa, Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie. The relationship between Solar Logix and Heliene works to secure existing green energy jobs in the community while creating continued growth for the future. “I am very excited about the opportunity to work with my team here in Sault Ste Marie. Solar Logix has developed a solid relationship in the solar industry with all of their clients, based on the trust and integrity of the company,” says Bugyra. “With our team, my plan is to educate our future clients about the advantages of the microFIT and FIT programs offered by the government. This allows all of us the opportunity to become micro power generators, contributing to a cleaner greener environment while generating guaranteed revenue over the twenty year contract with the Ontario Power Authority”. Along with several trained Solar Sales Consultants, Trevor Sawchyn has been hired as Project Manager/Design Engineer and Kieran O’Neill will head the Sales and Marketing Department. “Everything Solar Logix does on a project is done locally and internally with our own sales staff, site assessment, structural and design engineers, master electricians, accounting, as well as marketing and sales, we are a one stop shop offering you the best service before, during and after the sale” says Bugyra.

The Soo Centre at 123 March Street welcomes Solar Logix to their new location in downtown Sault Ste Marie.
